Travel with me to The Lakes...


My initial plan was to post my Amma’s signature dish today, but my heart is not really into sharing fond memories of my childhood for some personal reasons. Instead I am sharing few photographs I clicked during our recent visit to one of the most beautiful and scenic holiday destination in the UK during first week of this month. I am hoping that revisiting this natural, untouched beauty of Mother Nature will bring much needed calmness and peace to my troubled heart and soul.



As usual, we steered clear of touristy spots and went on long drives on the narrow country roads, away from hustle bustle of cities and tourist crowds. It was serene and quiet which was exactly what we look for when we are on holiday! Let me take you on a virtual trip to the peaceful country sides today. I will stop my ramblings now and let the photographs do the talking. I hope you enjoy this ride :)

    What lovely pictures....
    When I read the Lakes' the firat thing that came to mind was Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and Elizabeth's visiting there with her Aunt and Uncle Gardiner ( that they do not in fact go to the Lakes... and her meeting Mr. Darcy..!)

    I hope whatever troubles you will vanish with a gust of wind.
